Hongli is increasing production and racing against time to ease the current situation of container urgent and delayed delivery.

Due to the outbreak of the epidemic in Europe, many countries began to close the city, which directly affected people's normal work and life, resulting in the cabinet has been stuck in the major ports. China is suffering a great dearth of shipping containers due to a big imbalance in global trade, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to containers full of goods leaving China and then not returning.

The China Container Industry Association said the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on production in countries around the world and the nearing of Christmas, a peak season for export of Chinese products to Europe and the United States, were part of the reasons for the shortage of containers.

Storage fees and demurrage incurred during this period are also a huge expense. Under this circumstance, with the gradual recovery of demand, no shipping company is willing to continue operating at a loss, and freight rates naturally soar.

It is reported that the shortage of containers, congestion and increasing freight rates will continue for a long time. The shortage of containers in Asia has pushed up transportation costs, and shortage of containers is the biggest interference factor.

At the beginning of this year, Hongli started our plan of increasing production from rebuilding our workshop of metal processing. Now the building is built higher than 7 floors. In the rented workshop for metal processing, everyone is in full swing for the orders. Hongli employees now work two shifts a day. 

Meanwhile, Hongli will invest automatic production line and manipulators to help increase our production in the new building. Pipe threading machines production will realize seamless connection of processing and assembly. 

 

In delivery part, China will increase container supply and strengthen monitoring of the shipping market to further stabilize the rising logistics costs in international trade, Ministry of Commerce spokesman Gao Feng said on December 3.

The Ministry of Commerce will continue to work with relevant parties to provide more containers to the market, speed up container turnaround time, and help container manufacturers improve productivity.
